Renewal of Ministry and Welcoming of our New Rector

  • Sunday – April 14, 4pm

  • Diocesan staff will officiate, including Bishop Deon Johnson, Rev. Canon Doris Westfall, and Deacons Harry Leip and Loretta Go.

  • Rev. Traci Blackmon will preach.

  • A reception will follow service.

  • See our Facebook page for a recording of this service.

We gather to mark the covenant between Reverend Shug and the congregation. As Reverend Shug reminds us, this occasion celebrates "the journey we have embarked upon together [and] the work we are joyfully doing together. And she reminds us that "a celebration of new ministry is not to be an occasion of people gathering to proclaim hope and faith in what a new leader can do among his or her people. Rather, it should be an occasion of the entire community gathering to proclaim faith and hope in what Christ is already doing among them."
